Grants to Wisconsin nonprofit organizations and government agencies for programs in the areas of Alzheimer’s and aging, community initiatives, youth development, workforce development, and the arts. To start the application process, a preliminary application must be submitted. Proposals are invited in specific program areas within certain geographic boundaries:

Alzheimer’s and Aging – National, with Focus on Wisconsin:
At the center of the Foundation's interest in healthy aging is Alzheimer’s disease, and finding ways to offer hope to families grappling with the long goodbye. These efforts are guided by four strategies: Program Development, Education and Training, Applied Research, Public Policy. For more information, see:

Workforce Development – City of Milwaukee:
This program area encompasses five core strategies: Job Preparation and Readiness, Link to Existing and Emerging Jobs, Job Creation and Expansion, Workforce Barrier Reduction, Advance Collaboration. For more information, see:

Youth Development – City of Milwaukee:
Youth Development has three key strategies: Wellness, Extended Learning Opportunities, Character/Professional Development. For more information, see:

Community Initiatives – Greater Milwaukee:
Over the past two decades, Community Initiatives grants have helped the Foundation join community-wide conversations about issues that matter, but that do not neatly fall under one of the key program areas. These initiatives include: Nonprofit Management and Directed Grants (Note: Directed Grant proposals must first be solicited by a member of Bader Philanthropies staff.) For more information, see:

Milwaukee Arts – City of Milwaukee:
Bader Philanthropies has helped to support a variety of engaging activities, from hands-on workshops and inspiring performances, to introspective storytelling exercises. Bader Philanthropies also brings arts and creativity into other program areas when it fits with these strategies. For more information, see:
